Mod Requirements
This is a room that's strictly made for a user to know what are the requirements to become a mod.
For the record, I am not one of those owners who applies favoritism when it comes to modding users as that's essentially wrong and counter-productive. With this in mind, I'll address a few requirements that are surely not utterly hard to understand for anyone who comes across this.
Requirement number 1: Activity.
If you are not active, then forget it. I will notice those who are naturally way more active than the rest. There is no quota here. Simply become active. Coming to the chatroom once per day or just drop by every now and then does not count.
Requirement number 2: Upvote everything.
Mods have to upvote everything as it's a natural accelerating factor for activity. If you are selective with your upvoting, you don't deserve to be a mod. And I am extremely aware when there are users who are selective with their upvotes and those that are not.
Requirement number 3: Reinforce the rules.
It's one thing to follow the rules like a normal user would, out of common sense, and another one to reinforce them. Essentially speaking, a mod will have to reinforce the rules in case they are being broken by warning the user who is breaking them.
Requirement number 4: Set the example.
Having a mature stance and being objective when it comes to any issue that might come at you is abundantly important. If you are emotionally immature and issues are too much for you, then modding isn't for you. However, if you are confident that such is not the case, then go for it, with all due respect.
Requirement number 5: Equal treatment.
Each mod should be as equal as any other user in the sense where any interaction doesn't have to feel like a user is talking to someone who is above them simply because that user has a mod tag. There is no hierarchy here as well. Even though I'm the owner, I am nothing more than a user, at the end of the day. What I follow, what you follow. What you follow, I follow. A sense of equality here. No one is above any other.
That is all. Five basic requirements. No need to make this complicated.
P.S: If you want to apply for mod, just say so in the comments below as I will evaluate you personally.
P.S.S: Don't bother begging me to be mod if you don't follow the above segments.
